Developing a Unified Digital Identity for a Multi-Vertical Engineering Group

About Project:

The Kirtanlal website was developed as a central digital platform to represent the group company and its multiple business verticals. Over the years, the organisation had expanded into Engineering Components, Trading & Distribution, and Scaffolding & Formworks, but the digital presence did not reflect this growth. Each vertical had its own independent website, leading to inconsistencies in design, messaging, and brand identity. The objective of this project was to create a master website that establishes Kirtanlal as the parent brand while clearly showcasing its diverse verticals, legacy, and capabilities. The website was also designed to highlight the company’s years of experience, business strength, and CSR initiatives, while acting as a foundation for all future digital assets. Multiple design explorations and layout variations were undertaken to ensure the final structure supports long-term scalability and evolving business needs

Challenges:

One of the primary challenges was unifying multiple business verticals under a single cohesive brand identity without losing the individuality of each segment. The existing digital ecosystem lacked consistency, making it difficult for users to understand the relationship between the group company and its sub-brands. Structuring the content in a way that clearly communicates ownership, expertise, and scale while maintaining simplicity was critical. Additionally, designing a master layout that could be replicated across future websites, while ensuring flexibility for different vertical requirements, posed a significant challenge. Balancing visual consistency, scalability, and usability across devices was also an important consideration.

Solutions:

A structured and scalable website architecture was developed to position Kirtanlal as the parent brand while seamlessly integrating its multiple verticals. A unified design language was established to ensure consistency across all current and future digital properties. Each vertical was presented with clear segmentation, allowing users to understand the scope and capabilities of the business without confusion. Dedicated sections were created to highlight the company’s legacy, operational strength, and CSR initiatives, reinforcing credibility and trust. The overall layout was designed as a flexible framework that can be extended to future websites, ensuring brand consistency and ease of expansion as the organisation continues to grow.
