The Poddar Foundation website was developed as a purpose-led platform to spread awareness around mental health and make support resources more accessible across India. The foundation, originally established in 1983 and later re-focused on mental health, actively works across schools, corporates, NGOs, and rural communities through awareness programs and initiatives like “Silence Todo.”
The website reflects this mission by structuring information around programs, initiatives, and outreach activities, while also serving as a knowledge hub for mental, emotional, and behavioral health. It highlights their work with diverse groups such as students, teachers, self-help groups, and healthcare workers, along with both online and offline engagement formats. The platform also supports visibility of campaigns, educational content, and contact pathways, helping users understand the foundation’s impact and get involved.
The key challenge was designing a website that communicates a sensitive and complex subject like mental health in a way that is approachable, informative, and stigma-free. The foundation works across multiple audience segments—students, corporates, rural communities, and healthcare workers—each requiring different types of communication and engagement. Structuring such diverse initiatives into a single platform without making it overwhelming was a major hurdle. Additionally, balancing emotional storytelling with informational clarity, while ensuring the website encourages users to seek help or participate, required thoughtful content and UX decisions.
A clean, content-first structure was implemented to make information easily accessible while maintaining a calm and approachable visual tone. The website organizes programs and initiatives into clear sections, allowing users to quickly understand the foundation’s work and areas of impact. Emphasis was placed on simplifying complex mental health topics through structured content and awareness-driven messaging. The platform also supports engagement through clear contact pathways and initiative highlights, making it not just an informational website but a tool for outreach and impact. The end result is a meaningful digital presence that aligns with the foundation’s mission of breaking stigma and promoting mental well-being at scale.
